FAQ'S

What is water baptism, and do I need it?

Baptism is your outward expression of an inward reality. Baptism itself isn’t an act that gets us into heaven – it is faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord that offers that assurance. Baptism is an acceptance of the gift of grace offered by Jesus Christ. Following His example, we are completely immersed in water to symbolically wash away the old to make room for the new!

Want to read more about baptism? Here are some examples in Scripture: Jesus commands us to be baptized (Matt. 28:18-20). Following His command, the Book of Acts describes the practice of administering baptism to almost every group or individual who believed in the preaching of the Gospel by the apostles (Acts 2:37-41; 8:5-13; 8:35-39; 9:10-18; 10:34-48; 16:13-15; 16:30-33; 18:8; and 19:1-6).

Who is supposed to get baptized?

Every Follower of Jesus who has accepted Him as their Savior should be baptized.

Is there and age requirement to get baptized?

Baptism is a personal decision, so you just need to be old enough to make a whole-hearted decision to do it!

Will I get totally  wet?

Yes, from top to toes!  We go all in with our decision for Christ!

I'm all signed up! Is there anything that I should do or bring?

We recommend you bring dry clothes and a towel to dry off with. Remember that you will be completely immersed in water, so plan appropriately when doing makeup and hair.

Are there any requirements to partake in a baptism? (Do I have to regularly attend New Creation Church to get baptized?)

No! The only requirement is that you're born again - believing in your heart that Jesus was raised from the dead and confessed with your mouth the Jesus is Lord of your life.  Call our offices and talk to one of our Pastors to find out more!

What can I expect?
